How Wavespeed Works: Interface, Limits and Filters (Tested)
Wavespeed is a model platform, not a single-purpose app. This note describes the workflow in practice, where the limits sit and which filters we met during the Aug 16, 2026 session.
Wavespeed is a pay-per-use platform where you pick a model from a catalog, set parameters in a web console or via the API, and pay per run — $0.12 for the clothes-changer tested on Aug 16, 2026. What does a Wavespeed session look like?
There is no upload-and-wait screen. The console lists image, video and language models side by side; you open a model page, fill in its parameters, run it, and collect the output from the run history or through a webhook.

Which models sit behind the clothes-changer?
A dedicated app hides one model behind presets. Wavespeed exposes the catalog: image models, image-to-image editors and video generators, each with its own price and parameters. What are the practical limits?
- Learning curve. Built for developers; documentation in English assumes you know what a seed, a step count or a guidance value does.
- Tuning passes. Two or three parameter passes per usable result in the Aug 16 session, each billed as a run.
- Credits. Never expire, but non-refundable; tiers Bronze, Silver, Gold and Ultra unlock by cumulative top-up.
- Support. Documentation and a support email rather than a help desk; support scored 7.0/10.
- Retention. Outputs are gone after 7 days unless downloaded.
Speed was the strong side: 9.0/10, stable uptime and no queue tiers — every run goes to the same shared infrastructure.
Which filters and rules did we run into?
The terms of service are public and extensive and prohibit sexual content involving minors and non-consensual depictions of real people. The privacy policy, however, sets its threshold at children under 13 and adds no adult-only gate, so the rule set is contractual rather than technical.
