Pornworks is the second-highest-scoring tool for image quality in our ranking: 9.4/10 in our test of August 12, 2026, against 9.5 for the leader. This note explains what that number covers—inpainting edges, skin texture, 4K upscaling and the four aspect ratios—and where the output slipped. How Did We Test Pornworks Image Quality?

Quality carries 25% of the overall score under How we rate. For this tool we ran the same prompt set on the fast queue on August 12, 2026, using editorial test images of consenting adult models, and judged four things: edge accuracy on inpainted regions, skin and fabric texture, consistency across repeated renders, and how well 4K upscaling held detail.

Providers of AI systems, including general-purpose AI systems, generating synthetic audio, image, video or text content, shall ensure that the outputs of the AI system are marked in a machine-readable format and detectable as artificially generated or manipulated.

Nothing was processed on this site; the samples in our gallery are labeled AI-generated under EU AI Act Article 50 and show no real person.

Each criterion was scored on the fast queue at the native resolution of the plan, then again after 4K upscaling where the plan offered it. We repeated every prompt three times to separate a lucky render from a consistent result, and we kept the source photos identical across the six tested tools so that the sub-scores can be compared with one another.

Weights within the quality criterion are editorial and described in How we rate; the sub-score is 9.4/10.

The 9.4 reflects a tool that gets edges right most of the time and keeps texture at native resolution. The deductions came from seams on tight masks and from the mild smoothing that 4K upscaling introduced on Plus.

Inpainting

Why Does Inpainting Quality Matter Most?

Because it is the mode that touches an existing photo. In inpainting the model redraws only the masked region, so the seam between generated and original pixels is where quality shows. Pornworks handled that seam well on portrait ratios and less well when the mask hugged a contour tightly; our inpainting entry explains why mask width changes the result.

Ainudez scored 9.5 on the same protocol with three fixed presets and face correction, which is a narrower feature set but a slightly steadier edge; the pair is compared in Pornworks vs Ainudez.

4K and formats

Is the 4K Upscaling Worth Paying For?

Only if you print or crop. Upscaling to 4K is included on Plus ($7.99 per month) and Ultimate ($14.99), not on Lite ($2.99). On a screen the Full HD output from Plus already looked finished; the 4K version added pixels but slightly smoothed skin texture. For social formats the fixed ratios 9:16 and 1:1 cover most needs, and the missing custom ratio is a minor gap.

For how these modes fit into the interface, read How Pornworks works; for what the unpaid slow queue delivers at standard definition, see the no-cost tier guide.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What quality score did Pornworks get?

9.4/10 for the quality criterion in the test of August 12, 2026, which is 25% of the overall 9.2/10. Only the top-ranked tool scored higher on quality, at 9.5. The score covers stills produced on the fast queue; video output was not scored because its limits are not published by the provider.

Does Pornworks output 4K images?

Yes, through an upscaling step on the Plus ($7.99 per month) and Ultimate ($14.99) plans. Lite delivers HD and Plus delivers Full HD natively. In our test the 4K result added resolution but slightly smoothed skin texture, so it is most useful for printing or heavy cropping rather than screen viewing.

Which aspect ratios does Pornworks support?

Four fixed ratios: 1:1, 3:4, 2:3, and 9:16. There is no custom ratio field as of September 3, 2026. Portrait ratios 3:4 and 2:3 gave the cleanest inpainting edges in our session; 9:16 suits vertical social formats and 1:1 suits avatars and grids.

Where did Pornworks lose quality points?

Two places. Tight inpainting masks that hugged a contour produced visible seams, and 4K upscaling introduced mild smoothing of skin and fabric texture. Neither affected consistency: repeated renders of the same prompt matched closely across the session. The deductions total 0.6 points on the 10-point quality scale.
